Vegetables found in summer season

 Vegetables like cucumber,zucchini, ladyfinger, tomato, green chilli, gourd, pumpkin, bitter gourd, brinjal are easily available in summer. These are very beneficial in summer. Some vegetables also provide us relief from summer.

In this season, you should consume more cold and sticky things. Do not eat too much fried food in the summer.

Tomato 

Tomato is used in almost every vegetable dish in India. Be it salad, juice, curry or sauce, tomato can be eaten in any form. 95% of it is made up of water, so eating it does not cause dehydration in the body. Tomato contains lycopene which keeps away many diseases. Apart from this, it also contains potassium and calcium.



Cucumber

The most commonly eaten thing in the summer season is cucumber. Cucumber is rich in many types of nutrients. Some people eat it in salad while some people also add it to vegetables.
Cucumber has a lot of water content, so it is considered good to eat in summers. Apart from being rich in antioxidants, vitamin K and C are also found in it. It keeps the body hydrated.




 Bottle gourd

Apart from being tasty, bottle gourd is a treasure trove of nutrients. In the summer season, most people eat bottle gourd vegetable with great fondness. Bottle gourd contains calcium which is considered good for bones.Bottle gourd is used as a home remedy for stomach problems, high cholesterol and regular blood sugar.



Okra

Okra is also a delicious roasted vegetable in the summer. For a light summer snack, toss half of the sliced okra in a mixture of chickpea flour, cayenne pepper, mango powder, vegetable oil and freshly ground cumin – then bake on a cookie sheet at 400F until crisp.



Carrot

Carrot is available throughout the year. It can be eaten as chakka, fry or vegetable. Carrot juice is very beneficial for the body. Carrot contains vitamin A which is very good for the eyes. The fiber found in it keeps the body clean from inside.





Pumpkin

Almost everyone likes the sweet and sour pumpkin vegetable. Pumpkin is rich in vitamin A which strengthens the immune system. Apart from this, pumpkin is a good source of antioxidants and beta-carotene which keeps the body temperature cool and also keeps away from heart diseases.



Capsicum

 Green, red and yellow capsicum are rich in nutrients. They not only enhance the taste of food but are also beneficial for health. Capsicum contains phytochemicals which improve metabolism and digestion. It also provides relief from many types of pain.Capsicum contains many vitamins and antioxidants which are best for summer diet.



Green leafy vegetables

 Leafy vegetables like spinach, amaranth and mint are best for the summer season. They can be included in the diet in many ways like soup, dal, paratha, salad etc. They are rich in iron and calcium. They are rich in folate and water. They keep the stomach light in summers



Bitter gourd

Bitter gourd is bitter in taste, but it is very beneficial for the body. Bitter gourd juice works like a medicine, especially for the heart and stomach. Bitter gourd contains calcium, vitamin C, iron and potassium. It keeps the digestive system healthy and controls blood sugar. It keeps the body cool in the summer season.

 


 Brinjal-

 Most people eat brinjal by making its vegetable or bharta. It is also eaten mixed with other vegetables. Brinjal is rich in fiber which is good for the stomach and intestine. Apart from this, brinjal contains flavonoids, vitamins and potassium which is beneficial for the whole body.
